Sankai Falls, Miyagi, Zaō-machi. The majestic terrace that drops 181 meters in three stages is the northmost to the east and one of the the 100 Selected Waterfalls of Japan. It's a place near Mount Haoyama and a place of red leaves. There's a waterfall view line along the King's Echo Line on the other side of the Shin River. From here you can enjoy a great view, but in winter it's closed. From the Falls Platform, you can also hope for a steady waterfall upstream.
Traffic access
Takashi Takashi Station to Miyagi's traffic bus and "The Falls Platform" stop.
